Your car’s chassis is the foundation for the entire vehicle, providing structural support and determining the car’s overall performance and handling.

At Visions Restorations, we build custom chassis for classic cars, taking into account the engine placement, suspension geometry, and overall vehicle dimensions. We choose the best materials for your car, based on performance needs, ensuring the chassis is strong enough to support the vehicle’s weight, passengers, and cargo, and has the proper rigidity to minimize chassis flex and support optimal handling.

During the design phase, we review engine placement, ensuring proper clearance for exhaust, cooling systems, drive trains, etc. We determine the desired ground clearance and ride height.

Frame assembly includes choosing the most suitable welding or fabrication method for assembling the components of the chassis. We use DOM, Welded, and Chromoly depending on the desired outcome. We also take into consideration the integration of various components, designing mounting points or brackets for suspension, fuel tank, exhaust and steering systems.

Before installation of the chassis, it goes into the paint booth for epoxy. This not only ensures a beautiful finish, but it’s a good rust inhibitor as well.

Building a custom chassis requires a combination of engineering expertise, careful planning, and attention to detail. We take pride in the quality and safety of these chassis builds. We like knowing that these cars will be around for you and future generations to enjoy.
