When our customer brought in his truck for restoration, he told us he wanted it to look “like it just rolled off the assembly line — but then I took it home and put a lift kit under it.” This was his dad’s farm truck which was used to feed cattle for many years, so it holds a lot of sentimental value to him. Of course, like any kid in a candy store, he couldn’t resist a few upgrades and extra changes along the way. Even with those custom touches, the truck still retains much of its original look and feel.
Upgrades, modifications, and work included:
- 95% original sheet metal!
- Sandblasted and powder-coated frame
- New GM Performance 525 HP LS3 engine, master cylinder, bushings
- New clutch, taillight assembly
- Custom dual exhaust with polished chrome mufflers
- New grille and moldings
- New bumpers
- New door handles, lock strikers, steering shaft
- Custom paint (so much paint!), including Performance + Glamour Coat
- Cut and polished to a mirror finish
- Power steps
