To say this truck is a labor of love would be an understatement. It’s also very special to the shop, as it belongs to Dave Duvall, brother of Tim Duvall. A lot of work has gone into making this truck outstanding. So outstanding, in fact, that it just won the 2025 Street Machine Nationals Du Quoin Show-N-Shine Classic Truck Pre 1979 – Grand Champion.
Dave has been winning awards for the past ten years, including:
- 2024 Street Machine Nationals Du Quoin Show-N-Shine Best GM
- 2022, 2023, 2024 Grand Champion, Four Wheel Jamboree – Indianapolis, IN
- Indianapolis’ Four-Wheel Jamboree Best GM of 2015, 2026, 2017, and 2018
- Outstanding Truck at Springfield, Mo’s Street Machine Nationals
- Best in Show at various car shows in Missouri, including Hermann’s River City Cruisers and Owensville’s Car Show
Upgrades, modifications, and work include:
- 350ci engine
- Flush-mount glass
- One-piece door glass
- Front smoothie bumper and back bumper moved from stock location to be “tucked in”
- Single-stage paint. Tim painted the truck in Dave’s 2-car garage. The truck has never been “cut-and-polished.”
- Custom radiator shroud
- Custom built stainless steel exhaust system
- Smoothed out the cowling below windshield
- Cowl induction hood
- Custom-built Tonneau cover
- Engine compartment has many billet aluminum pieces (bought and/or fabricated)
- Custom interior
- Stereo moved into the headliner of the interior
